Rebecca Said:

How does an associate degree in adult education differ from a bachelor degree?

We Answered:

The bachelor's degree offers higher level courses in the field. At the associate's level, courses are either highly technical or lower division. The theory usually isn't introduced until the upper division.

With the additional education, you get more options professionally:

Firstly, the associates degree will be useless in the US and possibly in other countries outside of AU.

Secondly, you have more rights with the bachelor's than you do with the associates. For example, in nursing, you can be LPN (certificate), RN (associate), BSN (bachelors) and NP (graduate):

the LPN can perform basic care - gathering vitals, changing bedpans, etc.,
the RN can additionally distribute medications,
the BSN can additionally supervise, and
the NP can additionally write prescriptions.

I would check with the director of the associate program for more specific comparisons (the bachelor program director will discount most of the benefits of the associate's degree).
