Rose Said:

Does anyone know where I can apply for free legit grants for school in California?

We Answered:

I recommend the one I use. You have a lot of information available and if you have no idea, that was my case, you will find step by step guides to obtain free grants and financial aid for thousands of schools in US.

It is pretty hard to obtain government grant information without paying, this is the most helpful free site I found.

Kelly Said:

how can i get free money!!?

We Answered:

The Imagine America Foundation was designed to offer scholarships to students that attend vocational schools.

The Foundation offers awards, scholarships, sponsorship and development, research support, and promotes the benefits of attending a career college.

They do have certain requirements for recipients, but it is a good place to start! Good luck!

Vocational School,...GOOD or BAD?

We Answered:

I would avoid vocational schools if at all possible. They offer a good education, but charge you an arm and leg in tuition. Usually they aren't trying to rip you off, its just that they don't have funding from the government, so they charge the students more. Still it is an investment in your future, so a vocational school is better than no school at all.

Are their community colleges that offer the same program in your area of California? They will train you just as well, but you will save lots of money. As a single mother, you will no doubt get lots of grants from a community college. At my community college (in Nebraska) they have a single parent program, where students get scholarships and free books for their classes.
