Frederick Said:

Is welfare contributing to teenage pregnancies?

We Answered:

I totally agree! Giving teen parents welfare is not helping matters any. I don't want a penny of my taxes going towards irresponsible teens. I think it should be against the law for a minor to be the guardian of another minor anyway. Let's give these babies away at birth to adoptive families who can take care of them.

10 questions... help me please!!!?

We Answered:

1)If you teach people to think, and provide them with wide horizons, they can train and retrain in different positions, they can be flexible and adaptable in
exporting their mental skills from one job to another, and in general they can provide their employers and
the country at large with the advantage of being an educated, and not merely a trained, workforce.
2)Training relates to a specific job, education makes a person.
3)Aristotle with these words has intentional to say that we, instruct ourselves in order to discover the intelligence that there's in our brain.
4)
5)Philosophy’s aim is to encourage independence of mind and a critical ability to sift good things from bad
things.
6)People expecting philosophy to give them ready answers to life’s great questions
are hoping to find a tailor-made, ready-to-wear mindset that they can take off the shelf, instead
of using the debates of philosophy to help them work out their own views.
7)Information is not knowledge, and knowledge is not by itself understanding.
8)
9)Because a philosophical education is the light it throws on every aspect of humanity’s effort to understand itself and its world.
10)

Ben Said:

How can I shorten my CV?

We Answered:

Three pages is entirely too long. Rule of thumb: unless you have been in one industry for ten years, your resume should be one page. Period.

So, you're probably wondering how in the world do you do that? Here is what I suggest:

Format:

Centered on page with each item on a separate line:
Name, Address, Phone, Email

The rest are to be lined up on the left margin:

Have a summary paragraph - no need to title it. Just write your skills: X amount of years with X experience. That sort of thing. Believe me, you can get a LOT of info on three lines this way - and it will bring the info quickly to your readers attention.

Next under an Experience heading:
List your jobs by employer, title, and duration of employment

Then under an Education heading, list your education and any special and APPLICABLE (to the job you are applying) certifications you have.

Finally, a Skills/interests heading. Keep it to two things.

No need to note references upon request - it's better to have them typed on a separate page so you can hand them in if asked - but everyone expects you to have references - and expects them to be provided if need be.

hope that helps!
