I bought a checkbook simulation where the students (in low level math) were required to pay bills and keep a checkbook balanced. They liked it. This was several years ago, so I don't remember the publisher. The local bank may have a unit on teaching kids how to write checks, keep an account, etc.

You would need some affiliation with a school, or other group that offers onlines courses. That is not to say that you can't just offer a course, but, who would take it? Why?
There are lots of other things to think about here. Would you offer a certificate at the end of the course? What incentive would someone have for taking your course instead of just reading a bunch of books from the library on the same subject?

Also, what kind of course is it? Do you have the time to commit to perhaps hundreds of students?

FYI- I am taking an online Chinese course right now. It is just offered by one guy in China. Every week, he posts recorded lessons and worksheets on his site. It is not for credit or a certificate or anything. And other than posting comments or questions, the students don't have direct contact with the instructor. This allows him more flex ability .
