What's a good job for an 19 yr old with no experience?

We Answered:

cashier, or try getting a job as a restaurant hostess, hotel receptionist, or if you can get into a bank teller (they'll train you), whatever you do don't give up on going to vocational school, a degree is always the best option in the long run.

Cosmetology/hair dressing/beauty schools that are not private/for profit?

We Answered:

I've been a licensed Cosmetology Instructor for 4 years. I highly recommend private schools. The difference between the two types of schools lies mainly in their Student Salon. In a private school, you have a salon that students work in (supervised by instructors) where the general public can come in and pay for services. It teaches you a lot about dealing with the public, and gives you a variety of heads to work on. In a vocational setting, you mainly work on mannequins or on other students.

Toni and Guy provides, in my opinion, fantastic education. Other awesome places to try include Paul Mitchell The School, Aveda Institute, Regency Beauty( I worked for them for a few years),and The Salon Professional Academy (Redken).
All of those schools have websites, so call and talk to someone there. They have people specifically for admissions. Ask to take a tour, and while you are there, talk to the student on break/lunch. Ask them if they like their school, if they'd recommend it to others.

Any place that offers financial aid is accredited. Accreditation is a good thing.

A quality cosmetology education is between 15-20k, including your supplies (about $1500). Grants and loans are available pretty much anywhere, so check into it.

How long do you think this school is for a Automotive Service Technician ?

We Answered:

Usually 2 years. Then a class every once and a while so you can learn new stuff, such as the new headlights coming out, they use a higher voltage system.
If you want to be a Auto technician, you'll always be going to class...
As cars change, you'll have to keep up...
