I guess it just depends on the school, because my school has a very wide range of elective classes that a student may take. There is everything from auto mechanics to art to music to writing to science to medical to internships that allow you to intern in the field you are interested in to interior design etc. There is financial literacy which is applicable in the real world. Also, we have pathways at my school which gets you involved in activities that are directly related to what you want to do in the real world. So I really think it depends where you go to school.Hope this answers the question appropriately...
