Canada Immigration points calculator - confused?

We Answered:

Unfortunately the previous answer is unlikely to be correct, as a Canadian student graduating high school is older than you would have been when you left school after GCSEs. It's generally considered that a Canadian High School Diploma is somewhere between the level of UK GCSE and A level equivalence. Therefore I highly recommend that you ask this question under the immigration section of the Canada forum on britishexpats.com - I'm sure you'll get the definitive answer.

However, can I just query how you calculated that you only did 11 years of schooling? (The usual in the UK is 12 years, if you start in "reception" and leave after GCSEs.)

You have done no more than Completion of Secondary School/ High School - 5 points as the completion of A levels is university entrance level before actually starting university.
