What state do you live in? And what city? It matters.

Does anyone else see a problem with these things?

1 Star Answer = No problem I guess. Except I think you almost hit the max number of words with that question. Sorry, Im too lazy to read all of that.

Does anyone else realize these things about our country?

We Answered:

Yeah, I understand what you are talking about. As to the necessity of education, I personally learn by doing, not sitting in the class, and most of my professors were boring as all get out. But higher education is a necessity. Otherwise we would not need any education. Where would you draw the line? No college needed or no high school? If no high school then no junior high. Then we would have child labor with kids who couldn't read or write. I definitely think that higher education is required. I would not want to go into surgery and find out that my surgeon is an 18 year old who is going to "learn by doing". I would want my surgeon educated for years, so that he or she knew what they were doing. And yes, society has taught people what to believe. I struggled with that myself. I knew what to believe, I just didn't know why I believed in it. It wasn't until it came real to me, that I finally understood it and it actually meant something to me. Going to a community college does make you dumb, but only dumb to dumb people. I can tell that you are passionate about this. And I am sure that you would write a 20 page paper on this, except you go to a community college and not a university, so you can't. :) Just kidding, you set yourself up for that. With a psychology degree, you can do tons of stuff. You can work with people and make a difference on who they are. Whether counseling at a young age. Teaching people how to rationalize, analyze and make decisions for themselves. You could even run for office, and push for a change in our education from your seat up on Capitol Hill. That would be remarkable. But don't give up, you have millions of opportunities. Just think about what you are most passionate about. Look at careers that involve that, and see which one you could do, and that you would be happy in as well. Good luck!
