Vocational Rehabilitation Schools

Wayne Said:

GIBill run out? Can I use Vocational Rehabilitation now?

We Answered:

Ask a VA rep.
I had to trade in my GI bill to use Voc Rehab from the VA. But they paid for everything, books, classes, supplies, parking, and a small check every month that covered my rent. They also bought me my computer, desk, and chair while in school

Cindy Said:

Have you ever had any issues with Division of Vocational Rehabilitation with how they are to you?

We Answered:

the problem is that these are people that are not trained to see ones ABILITIES...all they see are DISabilities...it justifies their existence...they are not there to help you.The way to stick it to them is through achievement.Show them...YES YOU CAN! you are an intelligent human being and having a stutter is NOT a disability.Patients and good observation skills not judgment and vengeance. We are waiting for you here on the WWW were M.D. and other fine professionals make money.Here...no one will ever know you stutter or are so called disabled.NO ONE has the right to automatically assume that of any one.

vocational rehabilitation school?

We Answered:

You may be referring to the county vo-tech school :) The county vocational high school usually does contain students that might have difficulty handling the more typical school environment either academically, emotionally or both. I'm surprised that a letter was sent to your home without someone talking with your mom or dad first. Perhaps the school is just looking at students' grades and mailing out a 'form letter' to certain homes. Please talk with your guidance counselor on the next school day and show him/her the letter and ask what he/she feels that your next step should be. Perhaps instead of the vocational rehab school, you may be tested by the Child Study Team (cst) and placed in some remedial classes while remaining at the school in which you're currently attending. The cst usually includes the school social worker, learning disabilities teacher-consultant (ldtc) and school psychologist. They can only test you with your parents' permission. Please do follow up with your school counselor and bring a copy of the letter.

Ramon Said:

I am considering changing careers. Vocational rehabilitation will pay for my nine month's tuition - is it?

We Answered:

yes...however, I would apply for grants and things first...loans are always a last resort..if you qualify for voc. rehab you will definitely qualify for grants. fafsa.com
