Felix Said:

how do i find a good vocational aka trade school for x-ray tech in houston?

We Answered:

A radiologic technologist program is usually an associate (two-year) degree. Please be aware that those in the field (including 'sonography' which used to be referred to as 'ultrasound technician') have said that there are NOT supposed to be too many jobs these days.

Please forgo those private overpriced for-profit tech schools and instead consider the more affordable community college as long as the program is accredited within the industry.

Virgil Said:

Medical Assistant or LVN?

We Answered:

A medical assistant provides more administrative work, rather than that of the clinical nature. As much as they do within the clinical part is vital signs, positioning and transfering, sterilizing medical equipment, assisting with minor surgeries, wound care etc. But the bulk of the medical assisting work involves being able to help with the administrative side such as filing, billing, transcription, appointment scheduling and so on.

An LVN is basically a type of nurse that still provides some nursing and clinical areas such as vitals, and positioning and transfering and those type of jobs, but they are more into creating plans or accommodations for people who have to live through cripping injuries or illnesses to adapt to the work place again.

I hope that this helps you:)
