help!!! Preforming Arts????????We Answered:
I would suggest that you go to a regular school, do as much theatre as you can there, find a community theatre group and do as much theatre with them as you can, keep up the voice lessons if you can and find places to perform (such as with a community choir) as much as you can, and then you will have a lot of experience to put on that college application.Mathew Said:

Can I attend vocational school an recieve welfare benefits? We Answered:
you may be able to get a few food stamps but they will require you work at least 20-25 hours a week if you do. Without having kids, it's doubtful you will get them..if you do, you will only get just a few dollars maybe $10.. depending on whether you are paying your mother rent and how much.. you are better off trying to work part time somewhere. You can get enough financial aid to live on while going ..This late in the year though..if you haven't already done the fafsa..your money won't be in until almost Oct/November. GLEmma Said:
Going from a accredited college to a vocational school? We Answered:
If after training with job corps, you're sure that you will be eligible to take the NYC state LPN exam (after speaking with someone from the State board of nursing), and that is with a free education, that sounds like a wonderful idea!Billie Said:
Should i stay homeschooled in nyc or go back to a new [vocational] school? im 17, next year gonna be in 11th?We Answered:
Lol When I was homeschooled, I had exactly the same dilemma . I went back to 6th form a couple years ago and it's been drugs, fun and c*cks ever since :P. Haven't actually learned anything in these past two years mind, but at least I've had a giggle. Go for it I reckon.Salvador Said:
vocational school?We Answered:
In order to get this information for yourself, you can try a couple different approaches:1. Visit your local junior college and talk with a career counselor there. They will know what the other junior college/tech colleges are in the area.
2. Talk to a person who works in the field you are interested in. Ask them what training program they used and/or would recommend.
3. Contact the union for the field you are interested in and ask them if they have any training and/or apprenticeship programs.
Good luck.
