I'm a high functioning autistic. I am fortunate that I have a good neurologist and not only hold a good paying job, but can drive and perform other functions without special assistance.

I had to click away two party-line answers. I have an autistic nephew who, due to great treatments, is now classified as Asberger's.

Grits pastes in the same answer, no matter the question.

I am voting Obama for research reasons, for all disorders, not just my own myriad central nervous system problems. (Seizures, tremors, etc.) If you have no evangelical base to pander to, chances are you will approve more stem-cell research. As it stands now, only the private foundation Howard Hughes Medical Institute does full stem-cell research.

I have seen many people who are homeless who self-medicate with drugs and alcohol. Prior to Reagan throwing them out of the institutions, many were adjusting and re-entering society.

It's a long and complex topic. I've long been for single-payer health care, as has my conservative mother.

I have followed the Double Talk Express of John McCain for years. He'll set up some commission for a study, then ignore it and implement nothing. We're autistic by choice, you see?

El es un estudiante que depende de su modalidad visual y tactil para aprender. Necesita muchas presentaciones, oportunidades para participar, repeticiones y repasos de informacion para aprender uevas habilidades y conceptos, asi como para utilizarlos en diferentes situciones y ambientes. El recibe preparacion en artes comunicacionales, pre vocacionales y habilidades sociales en el salon de clases CD. El esta aprendiendo a identificar las letras mayusculas y a relacionar las letras con sus respectivos sonidos. El apenas comenzo a aprender las letras en minuscula. Identifica bien las palabras y su uso. Puede identificar colores y formas, tanto grandes como pequenas. El puede crear y continuar patrones y puede contar objetos del uno al diez, pero necesita ayuda verbal. Tiene dificultades para identificar los numeros 4 y 10. El va al prescolar (kindergarten) para las clases de arte y lenguaje, asi como para lectura y matematica. El va a la cafeteria para el almuerzo cuando es posible. Participo en Educacion Fisica y Arte, con sus amigos del prescolar, pero no pudo ir por mucho tiempo para completar las actividades. El es autosuficiente en cuanto a vestirse y puede manipular Velcro, cierres y cierres de presion o broches. Socialmente, el tiene amigos tanto en la clase CD y el prescolar y es querido por todos.
