Vocational Training Jobs

Ethel Said:

is vocational training on the job training?

We Answered:

It could be....sometimes companies pay for supplement or ongoing training in your area of expertise. Vocational training is spcialized training in a certain vocation/type of job like wielding or account.

Alfred Said:

what is a job I can get with training that pays a good amount?

We Answered:

There are good culinary arts schools like the art institutes and le cordon bleu. They can train you to be a chef and get a decent career.

Vocational nursing training?

We Answered:

LPNs and LVNs are in demand- mostly in long-term care. Some work in medical offices, home health care and even in hospitals. I don't that is going to change any time soon. I don't know how you define "good job", but the pay is pretty good. Around here, average size city, they start out making $16/hr. It really varies. It still may be crappy work, like changing adult diapers, helping when someone vomits, changing dressings on bed sores etc... Having been a CNA, I don't think I would want to be a LVN or LPN. Maybe you should become a CNA first, work around LVNs, then decide if that is something you would like to do.

Why do IT jobs require a Bachelors in Comp. Sci?

We Answered:

the bachelor degrees these days are like high school grads many years back....and there are still tons of bachelor comp sci grads still dont have jobs and these grads are presumably had higher marks than college grads in high schools either, in generall as there are exceptions, worker harder or smarter. In short, for the employer, it is better to train a smarter or hard working university grad than a college grad
