there is a difference between xray techinican and radiologic technologist. and it depends on where you live. would you be a basic xray tech or would you be registered with the ARRT? i am not a basic tech i am a general radiographer and here in brevard co. florida starting makes 16.00 per hour, now go to new york and you can make 30.00 per hour so really it all depends on where you live. big cities pay more, per diem pays more than full time but then you dont get the benifits.
