For 40% of your income through tax , (based on an average annual income of $85,000) would you mind getting?

We Answered:

I'm of Norwegian ancestry. My ancestral homeland is awash in oil revenues from the North Sea wells. Norsk Hydro is getting as big as Royal Dutch Shell. Yet, there are an enormous number of Norwegians on waiting lists for elective surgery. So, no thanks. I'll take my current health coverage under Social Security and Tricare For Life (I'm retired military). Even if I'm sick I continue to receive my Social Security and my military pension. The only co-payments I have are for my medications and they amount to $3 for generic and $9 for brand name drugs for a 3-month supply. And my tax rate is still under 20%, even though the government considers 85% of my Social Security check to be taxable income, because of my military pension.
Instead of listing all of the "benefits" of a draconian tax system, you might want to look at the number of Europeans who are migrating to other nations with lower tax rates.

You are talking about Two vastly Different Governments...
One Federal the other State...

I am surprised that the State of Ohio is paying you at all...

Did you file for SSD yet...
If not do so tomorrow...you are on a short Time Line...

Did you file your claim using a Veterans Service Organization,
Veterans Service officer such as the DAV ???
If not you got screwed...if you can't work you should be at least 80%
payable at the 100% rate...
Are you in PTSD Treatment ???
Have you been through a VA PTSD Treatment Facility ???

SSI "Ticket to work"...Questions/Advice?

We Answered:

The goal of both would be to provide you with services to become employed. If you contact Maximus or www.yourtickettowork.com, you will be able to find the EN's and VR's that serve your area. The best advise would be to apply to VR first. If you get accepted there work with them, and once you become employed VR will close your case and you can assign it to an employment network for employment retention services. VR does not provide retention services. VR also has more money to use for things like training, etc. So depending on your needs, visit and ask questions of both EN's and VR's in your area. The Ticket to Work Program is voluntary so it is your choice as to whom you wish to assign the ticket to.

Discuss It!
