Justin Said:

Is it my OWN fault why I can't find a job (I live in the US-TX)?

We Answered:

It can be difficult to work with a disability espically if it is due to mental health. People aren't always understanding or sympathetic toward others.

I don't know you personally nor do I know the extent of your disabilties. I have to take the statements above at face-value and believe that you are not able to function well in a working environment.

I have some understanding of the system that the Social Security Administration did not just give you money. You most likely had to go through a process to determine that you have problems. (I know someone who had to go to court to get SSI, so I know that they don't just give "hand-outs")

Did you use an atterny? If so maybe you can seek advice on getting a loan deferment or other payment options. There are ways of lowering interest and helping you make good on your loans.

You should also be in some sort of support system. There should be mental health providers available to you to address your depressive symptoms as well as the anxiety.

I don't like to assign fault for people with mental health issues. I am probably more sympathetic than others. I think that your brain is just wiered differently.

I do think you should become a little pro-active in managing and learning coping skills to help you with daily living. Maybe with a combination of therapy and possibly medication, you will be able to learn new life management skills that would help you find a job.

Stay on your Vocational Rehab counselor. He or she is probably busy, but leave messages or what ever it takes. Maybe ask for someone else to take your case. They might be able to help you find something you can do well.
