I would love to answer more of your questions. I am a vocational rehab job coach and see no reason why you cant get help finding a job. Vocational Rehabilitation is a state run agency whose sole purpose is to help people with disabilities regain and maintain employment. When you go in for an initial consultation you will be assigned a counselor who will then assess your disability, discuss your career goals, and then develop a plan for helping you regain employment in your field of choice. They will help you with education, transportation, and anything else you may need to meet your employment goal. Any financial assistance they provide you will depend on your need.

By federal law, Vocational Rehabilitation must help the severely disabled first, so there may be a waiting list in your state. You should definitely take the in-person meeting. You have nothing to lose and are under no obligation to proceed with the rehabilitation.
