vocational school mislead me so i would enroll and now i cant find a job?

We Answered:

If they misrepresented themselves, you may have grounds for a civil suit. However, if you had expectations that were not met, that is not their fault.

I have a question regarding employment law in CA?

We Answered:

Sounds like you goofed. California is a fire at will state which means they can fire you for any reason so long as it is not illegal, such as for sex, race, etc. Sounds like you need to just find a new job and move on.

recommendation for a vocational school?

We Answered:

Look into an online school called Career Step http://careerstep.com/?uid=ref11431 They are a school that specializes in medical vocational training. They are most known for their medical transcription training course however they also offer medical coding and billing, pharmacy tech, and medical administrative assistant courses. And since it is online, you can work on your course from anywhere. My sister-in-law took their course and loved it. It is a tough course but it really prepares you for the job. She said that the people there were really helpful. They even help you in your job search after you graduate. They help you with your resume, give you interview tips and advice, and give you employment and referral directories. They are registered with the Better Business Bureau and they have been training students for 20 years. As far as the course, they have games like crossword puzzles and things to make learning more interesting. Overall she really liked the course. They have an online demo of their course which you can take so you can get a feel for how it would be to take one of their courses as well as the material they cover. Try the demo and see if you would like it or not. http://careerstep.com/demo/?uid=ref11431

They also have some holiday specials if you plan to enroll before Christmas. Good luck!
