Computer Vocational Schools

Shane Said:

Are companies willing to train for computer positions?

We Answered:

Depends on the Company, Job and how rusty you really are.

While applying for the jobs start brushing up on your skills! Be honest with them when applying for the job and that should give you a feel for if they will get behind you when you start.

Which schools will accept vocational classes towards an associates degree?

We Answered:

Check out www.wgu.edu. It's an online university but they are competency based so they give you credit for stuff you already know and you may be able to test out of a lot of classes depending on the class and your program. If you apply, use my name (Kathryn Hart) and they'll waive your $65 application fee.

Good luck!!!

Need a cheap computer?

We Answered:

Buy a refurbished or a sued laptop. You have very few needs for a laptop but it is still better to go for one that is refurbished. Look for a laptop prices around $500-$600
They usually come with good video and sound cards. Get a computer technician to install better sound/video cards is you buy a cheaper laptop.
Your computer should have a good processor, if you look hard enough you can get a Pentium 4 for around $300-$400 but might have some bad parts. You can get a technician to install sound/video cards if your laptop needs another one, the whole thing might cost around 40-70$, including installation and the price of the video/sound cards.
