Financial Aid For Vocational Schools
Tim Said:
confused about loans|financial aid ?We Answered:
Talk to the schools fin aid office, sometimes the addresses are not the physical address of the school you attend. If the school does not accept fafsa, take this as a red flag and RUN away from that school. Its not recognized by the Department of Education for a reason.... and it isn't good, I guarantee.Crystal Said:

will i get financial aid again? We Answered:
If you took a loan to attend the vocational school, you want to make sure that you track it and get it into repayment on time. Keep up with the payments. If you decide to return to school, you will again be eligible, provided that your loan is in good stead.Keep in mind, though, that if you borrowed as a freshman and used grant money as well, you probably won't be eligible again until you have enough hours to be considered a sophomore. What you borrowed for the vo-ed school will count againt the cumulative limits as well.
If you pay off the loan entirely, your loan eligibilty will restart.
If you return to school, your current loan payments will be deferred or stalled while you are in school at least half-time. You must file deferment papers that you can get from the lender and you must make sure the deferment is approved and applied to the loan. Assume nothing.

Question about financial aid?We Answered:
Your best bet is to ask the school you will be attending. I don't know of many people who have financial aid for living expenses. I think your best bet is to take out some loans to help cover what you need.Debbie Said:
Finacial aid for vocational schools??We Answered:
If the vocational school can give you the training you need to get the job you really want to do, then it is usually worth it. You should definitely check the school's graduation rate and placement rate before you decide. Community colleges usually have most of the same programs as vocational schools, and are much more accepted by employers.Financial Aid is worth it, too....although sometimes the process seems too long and that there's too much paperwork. Keep plugging away at it, and ask for help whenever you need it. The Financial Aid Office should be a great source of information and help to you.
Good luck!
