Sister-in-law Major issues!!!?

We Answered:

Try calling a womens shelter in your area and talk to them about her & the situation. They may be able to offer her some help. Since she has been in and sounds like she still is in an abusive situation, perhaps a domestic abuse hotline or shelter would be helpful. Many of them provide counseling, help the women find a job, get their GED and help them get back on their feet. That's what I would try first. I wish you the best. She's lucky to have family who cares about her.

how long before i can say im a RN!!?

We Answered:

My advice is not to waste time going for the LVN if you know you want to be an RN. There is really not a ton of value in going that route, and you will be wasting time and money. You don't have to be an LVN before you become an RN. Some people do go this route because in some areas the LVN to RN programs have less demand and you don't have to wait as long for admission. It's important you scope out all the nursing programs in your area to see what your prospects are and how competative the entry process is.

Once you have graduated and are licensed as an RN, you can move to any state and apply for what is called "licensure by endorsement" where you provide evidence of your current license and work experience or recent school graduation, have a new background check run, etc., but no, you will never have to repeat any classes or nursing school just to obtain licensure in a new state.
