Should i go to trade school or reg college?

We Answered:

I'm trying to talk my kid into going to trade school because she wasnt that focused in High school and she took one semester of college & that kinda fizzled out too. At a trade school you get hands on experience learning a trade. And its usually for 2 years or less. They also have certificate programs that take less time. We have a vocational school here locally that has an adult program that is awesome. You might want to check something like that out. Ask around. Call your old school and speak to an advisor or someone you really liked. They would be more than happy to give you advice. Good Luck.

Will the Government pay for a Trade school?

We Answered:

You can get grants and even a low cost student loans to help out with expenses. As long as you are in school the loans are in deferment, so you don't have to worry about them until you graduate/certification, or get employed.
WWW.FAFSA.COM click on it and fill out an online application. They will ask what Technical School and a school code. You can list one or more schools. Do a search on Lincoln Tech or ATI they may have online applications as well. Keep copies for future reference.
You are on your way. Good Luck.

Alvin Said:

what happens when a trade school makes promises and they go out of buisiness?

We Answered:

If CEDD paid for them, then you most likely do not have grounds for suit.
If they did not declare bankruptcy, CEDD can request a refund of funds so you can use the refund to take classes elsewhere.
How did the school promise to offer you refresher courses? If they are out of business then they cannot offer you any classes to take, so you would have to look at a different school.
