Vocational High School Diploma

Eva Said:

Can i get a job as a Medical Billing specialist with a high school diploma?

We Answered:

It has been my experience that you can. Sometimes they want someone with experience because they already know the billing codes. However, you learn the code quickly because you use then so much.

Ken Said:

Is it possible to take a vocational course without a high school diploma or GED?

We Answered:

That should not present a problem for most vocations./

Debra Said:

Is the bachelor's degree really the new high school diploma?

We Answered:

I would agree with you. Many of these Bachelor Degree graduates are not getting jobs, anyway. Many with Associate's or Certs in a practical area do get good jobs.

Willard Said:

Do you need a high school diploma to be a chemist?

We Answered:

Chemist is a pretty wide term.

If you want to be a chemical inventory handler/manager, you may not need a high school diploma (depending on the complexity of the inventory).

If you want to be an applied chemist assistant (mixing stuff to make formulation designed by somebody else), you will need a high school diploma and maybe a 2-year degree.

If you want to be an applied chemist or a research assistant, you will need a bachelor or a master from a university.

If you want to be a researcher, you will need a PhD.
