We Answered:

Unfortunately, EDD views that you cannot look for a job or work at a job and go to school at the same time. If you stop and think, if it wasn't that way, all college students would be applying for benefits. You can appeal online, via phone or even go to an edd office but the rules here are quite clear.
Unless you are expected to graduate soon, I'm afraid that if your aunt cant help you out here, you probably should quit school at the end of the semester and either work on a full time job or take the benefits. Once you get a position, you can work on saving up enough money to take your training at night.
