Marilyn Said:

Do you think when I'm old enough Canada would give me citizenship?

We Answered:

Nope, that won't do it.

However once you are a bit older and more educated, your education plus your Canadian experience will stand you in good steap.

Colleen Said:

Do you think it would be easy for me to immigrate to Canada?

We Answered:

Generally: A Big No!

Canada is very difficult to immigrate. It has a complicated process that lures skilled professionals into their borders but then once inside try to redefine a person's skill and training by saying they have to confer to their standards. That may sound like it is obvious but the process of redefinition is a long and painful one sometimes for persons who have been practicing professionals for quite some time. As a younger person you will have a better chance if you are coming to study or work. Canada has become not a place to stay. If you come make sure you have all that you need before you come, eg. a confirmed job, a confirmed place of accommodation (definitely not shared) and enough cash to last you 2 to 3 months without working.

If you have done sufficient research on the immigration process at their website http://cic.gc.ca then you are ahead of the game and if you are fully convinced you want to come to Canada, then you will succeed and it will be easy for you.

However since you family is from Canada you will not be immigrating but simply returning so things will be definitely easier for you.
