Pick the college you want to go to and check their entrance requirements. You probably need to study up for either the SAT or the ACT and doing average or above. With a vo-tech nursing background, you should meet most colleges requirements.

I am a counselor at a couple of continuation schools. Are you only failing two subjects or very much behind? Do not let your parents discourage you. However, maybe they see your work habits and they are not up to their potential. You have to work hard at anything in order to achieve it. What I mean is if you are not working as hard as you should be then you need to start now. If you are only a couple of classes behind then go to summer school and start fresh next year. You don't have to transfer to a 4 year university directly from high school most of us did it through a community college and then transferred to a 4 year university. You can do it. No matter where you go or what you do, there will always be others who "look down on you" and try to make themselves think they are better than you are. Well adjusted people don't, of course, but we do occasionally run into others who are not well adjusted. So, first, to answer your question, no, attendance at a vocational high school says absolutely nothing except that you had the opportunity to become well prepared to contribute to society. Now, what do you do about the funny looks? Absolutely nothing. The best revenge is success. Put into practice what you learned, make lots of money, marry someone you deeply love, have a great family and wide circle of friends. Then, who cares what high school you went to, or what anyone thinks about it?
