It may be easier to find an after school enrichment program that allows you to teach without a credential or permit.

If you are headset onto becoming a public school teacher
Please contact your state's department of education

This process will take about a year at the least.

Some states require that you go back to college to get your major in Education.........check out state requirements...I could be wrong.

You may be required by the university to do a internship

(my art teaching internship was 6 months long, unpaid, 7am-5pm M-F)

After your classes are completed, you will take two tests

a Basic Skills Test (usually Math, Writing, etc.)
and your area of specialization

These test will be given through the state. They are only given on certain dates of the year....each costs around $100.

Months later you will be given a permit or credential....it must be updated every so often.

Schools generally hire mostly around early spring. Each state has their own website for posting positions they are looking for.
Make sure to have a portfolio of your teaching experiences or working in your field.

Sounds like it has all of the offerings that a high school has with the added bonus of having a technical skill taught as well. I would try to take as many upper level courses, such as the CP and AP classes that you can. Keep up your GPA, take the SAT and/or the ACT, and I would think that the college world will have many opportunities available to you.

If you have an idea where you would like to go to college, you could call a couple and see if they have any knowledge about technical school affecting entrance into their institution. As long as you get a high school diploma, score well on the ACT or SAT, I think you can go just about anywhere you want to.

Yes, men are allowed to wear up to two rings. One school type ring and a wedding band.

Or basically one ring on each hand... In the early '90s, y unit actually went around and check to see if the ring(s) you wore were proper and on the correct fingers.
