This is the link for the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners, the state agency that regulates nurse education and license. Open it and go to Eduction for the list of approved/accredited LVN programs. TCC also has a associates degree program for RN, as does Weatherford community college. JPS, Harris, and maybe Allsaints have go as you work PCT to RN programs that allow you to work (and get paid) as a PCT while you take you nursing classes and clinicals at the hospital. Harris program is through El Centro College ( I may have spelled it wrong)

If you really have your heart set on being an LVN, the list from the BNE will give you the name of accredited programs. The large hospitals have about phased out all LVNs so I wouldn't count on job security with it. The LVN license MUST practice under an RN license and they make about $10-$15 dollars an hour less then an RN does. The LVN is limited in the scope of practice (what tasks you are allowed to do) so a number of positions are in home health and nursing home. Good Luck

If the financial aid was a loan, you don't put the loan itself on your taxes. It's the same as paying cash.

If the financial aid was a grant/scholarship, you enter that in, because the money used for tuition can't be used again for an education credit. The money from the grant used for living expenses is taxable to you.

If the financial aid was a work-study arrangement, you will get a W-2 to enter into the software.

With a 2.0 GPA you will have to go to community college first. College is much harder than high school and it is doubtful you will do well enough as it is very hard to change poor study habits.
