How did you pay $15,000 in taxes? I can understand paying $15,000 in tuition for pilot training, but what did you pay taxes for.

If you erred in your post, and the money was for tuition, rather than taxes, then the amount you paid is eligible for the education tax credit when you file your tax return. However, you won't get anywhere near a full refund. First, you have to have income in Canada to benefit from any deduction. If you're not earning anything, you won't get any money back.

If you are earning income in Canada, and filing a Canadian tax return, then you will likely get back 25% of the tuition you pay.

My guess? Your instructor told you the fees are tax deductible. You misunderstood this (mostly because you wanted to hear something else). And you don't have Canadian income, so there will be no refund on the fees you have paid.

You can take your 2 yrs and transfer them into a 4 yr and grad school.. You can look around at other programs.

You can get far in the nursing field with a 2 yr degree and experiance under your belt... Most places look at your experiance rather then just a degree......

If you cant find a program that will take your 2 yr degree, that 1 class less then u need to graduate . That way u officialy dont have your 2 yr degree.... It can be a history or english class that u didnt take..
But talk to the school U want to do your 4 yrs in and see what they say... ALL Major and state Univeristies have a community collage affiliated with them........

Has this person looked into college courses for promotion points. They should talk to their unit about getting TA. Army e learning courses count toward promotion points. The cool thing about Guard is that if there are no open slots in this persons actual unit for the promotion, they can promote into another unit. They can talk with someone within the unit about this option. But as long as they have the required number of points when the next board rolls around, and don't have flags, they shouldn't have a problem with promotion. Have this person ask their unit about attending WLC if they haven't already.
