Jobs In Training
Gertrude Said:
what happened to the good old days when jobs used to invest in job training? We Answered:
Because people in the "good old days" used to work at the same job for 40 years so training them was worth it. Nowadays, people work at jobs 6 month, 1 year, 3 years. So the company doesn't feel the need to waste money and time on training this person effectively and then have to do it all over again for their replacement in a few months.Joel Said:
Where can i get babysitting training/jobs?We Answered:
Hey :) im 14 too and im in 9th grade .I've been babysitting for 2 years ..
Theres usually courses at your local YMCA to take for babysitting ,
and you get a certificate to prove your good to be a babysitter :)
Also , make flyers showing your babysitting job around ,
you can stick them in places people will see , such as neighbors mailboxes , or just bring them to their doors , or if your church or anywhere has a message board, pin one there :) lots of oppurtunities , good luck :D

I only have a high school diploma. What are some jobs that offer on the job training? We Answered:
You're absolutely right to avoid paying money for education when you're not sure what interests you.Jobs with on-the-job training for people with high school diplomas:
Nurse Aide
Pharmacy Technician (some small pharmacies, Wal-mart, etc. do this)
Insurance Claims Processor (often they prefer a college degree, but not always)
Office Assistant
Bank Teller
Many civil service jobs at the federal, state, county and city level offer on-the-job training. Also, of course, the military.
There is a program where you can get an apprenticeship to train on the job: http://www.doleta.gov/OA/req.cfm
I guess many low-paying jobs offer on-job training. If you work for a company with benefits, they often offer tuition assistance if you want to move up in their line of work.
