I need some advice about a potentially life-changing decision.?

We Answered:

you are not now and probably will never be a student. a trade is for you. trade school, a trade.

you seem like a very nice person who has made some bad choices. you smoke pot? right there is a problem. people who smoke pot do NOT progress in life. they just dont.

i am completely against taking medicine to get thru the day. this is another reason you cant focus. this is another reason you so blithely make rather stupid excuses for yourself. oh well!!

the best thing you can do for your future is to acquire a skill where you can make money. you lack discipline and interest and hunger to make something better for yourself.

use birth control or you will compound your self inflicted problems.

Applying for a job in person?

We Answered:

Applying in person is often a crap shoot. Sometimes you come in, speak to a manager, have an immediate interview, get hired and bam - you're a CNA. Other times, you fill out the application, wait for calls, get tired of waiting, call them, play phone tag - yada yada yada. Its the same story everywhere.

My suggestion is obtain as much information as possible before coming in - a phone call can save a lot of time and energy. I like to ask really specific questions such as, "What's the manager's name? When is he/she in? What is the hiring process like?" etc. If no phone number or other contact information is listed, then you just walk in and hopefully score an interview that same day. Otherwise, you'll need to follow up

.Take care, good luck with everything.
