Technology Training Schools

Glen Said:

What factors should be considered in choosing a phlebotomy technology school.?

We Answered:

You may want to consider a different program as this one would probably be a waste of time and money as most medical assistants are trained to do phlebotomy and most clinics just hire MAs to draw blood.

But if you decide to proceed with phlebotomy, then I would suggest attending your local community, technical or vocational school, rather than a private for profit school.

Your local school will be WAY less and most credits should be transferable.

What are the best schools for computer training in the Boston area?

We Answered:

If you want a career in IT a short training won't work you will need to attend a 4 year university. Otherwise you won't get a job because everyone else interviewing will already have a 4 year.

Kathleen Said:

Is there a way how I can receive some on-the-job training in Information Technology?

We Answered:

Well, depending on the size of your company they might have a tuition reimbursement program. Check with your HR departmment. They should have all the info you need.

You should also check out what seminars or classes they sponsor if any in the area of IT your looking for. If they don't have any - ask them to start some. It can't hurt and you won't be any worst off then you are now.

Alternatively you could go to your boss and make a pitch on how this would help you and others in your dept. Maybe he would make some room in the budget for classes.

Oscar Said:

does anyone know where i can get computer technology training?

We Answered:

A couple of technical schools come to mind :

Devry - http://www.devry.edu/programs/overview.j…
ITT Technical Institute - http://www.itt-tech.edu/

Just need monies for these or financial aid.

Good luck!

Floyd Said:

Please where can i find a training school for medical laboratory technology that is free or voluntary on-line?

We Answered:

Hmm,

Are you talking about continuing education? There are no free medical laboratory tech programs in the US. And you have to education per CLIA to perform moderate to highly complexed lab testing. The only online programs that are available are for certified MLTs that want to advance to the MT level and they definately are not free. I am working on my MLT to MT online and it is pretty expensive.

Judy Said:

What is the difference between the Army and the Marine Corps?

We Answered:

Training schools: The Army has more of them.
Equipment: The Army has better
Technology: Again, the Army has better.
Combat action: You'll see it in both, but more in the Army.
Deployments: Army deploys 12-15 months, Marines deploy 6-8 months.
Housing and facilities: I've never been on a Marine post so I don't know.
Job options and availability: Army has more jobs and always needs more.
Getting a job after the military: Both are probably equal for job skills and experience.
