Terrence Said:

im in a program in a trade school that i do not enjoy doing?

We Answered:

Before you do anything, talk to your advisor at the school. At this point in the term, can you get your money back? If you cannot, then what are the financial and grade repercussions to you leaving at this point? You can really mess up your ability to get financial aid if you leave after a certain point in the term, and it's possible that your best choice is to finish out the semester, and then to switch to a new trade.

Talk to the school about that option. Can you switch trades *now* (probably not). If you can't, can you switch for the next term (I bet you can!)

Think about what you don't like about this trade, and what you do like about it. Then, for the trade you plan to study next, make sure it offers you more of what you like, and less of what you don't like.

There are many ways to become an electrician, but ultimately it will depend on what type of electrical work you want to do, where, and do you eventually want to go into your own business?

is it possible to transfer credits from a trade school and apply to a graduate program at a university?

We Answered:

I doubt that it is possible to transfer to Grad school, through trade school credits. But to a university.. maybe. Check with the university you are applying to and see if they offer admissions to Trade school students.
In order to transfer to a Grad school, you must have a Bachelor's degree. I think someone said that.
I recommend these steps;

Trade School(Diploma/ Certificate) > College(Under Grad. Associates/Bachelors)> University - Grad School (Bachelors>Masters>Phd) etc.. etc.. etc

Derek Said:

I need help on Trade school information. Can Someone please help me ASAP?

We Answered:

Depending on where you live, or are willing to re-locate to, do a search on yahoo for trade schools

Your local library could also help you determine what is available nearby.

Do you have, or are getting a high school diploma? Your local high school counselor's office should have this information also. Don't be afraid to ask, they have brochures and catalogs from many places, and often scholarship information to help pay for it.

To determine your best shot at success you should also get 'tested' to determine what trades or jobs you would do best at.

Good luck.
