Trade Vocational Schools

Teresa Said:

Does it matter what kind of high school i go to if I want to become a doctor?

We Answered:

In general, vocational schools don't have the most, or the best, selection of courses required for medical school or even for college sometimes. And the courses they do have are likely to be less stringent than in other schools.

Schools differ a lot though in the number of academic and/or science courses they offer and in how stringent and excellent they are, no matter what kind of school they are.
Mostly though, kids who go to schools that are more academically rigorous will find it easier to "go to medical school" though a kid who does extremely well at any school and takes the right courses (and usually also does well on the SAT's, etc) has a better chance.

I don't know what your MCAs are unless it's in Minnesota, or which grades the test is given in or who they're comparing to whom, or whether they cover specific subjects or overall knowledge, etc, which could make a difference.

There are all kinds of ways to be in the medical field though without necessarily being a "doctor."

Andrea Said:

What college did you guys get into? Everyone's input is welcome!?

We Answered:

Davis (where I will be attending), UCSB, UCSC, Cal Poly Pomona, San Fransisco State, San Jose State, Humboldt, and Chico.

Thats awesome about Davis! How'd you get a full-ride though, you lucky bastard?
