Wendy Said:
Army 68w and AIT Training for vocational nurse…?We Answered:
the army, navy, and airforce have nurses of i believe all levels. i heard taht LVN was an officer slot in the air force...dont know how much truth there is to that. being a nurse in the military realy isnt any different than being a nurse in the civilian world: you're doing the same job with the same scope of practice since all nurse positions are surrounded by doctors... only you get paid less and have to deal with the regular military BS. actually its kinda funny: a line medic (regular 68W) actually can have a larger scope of practice than a LVN or even an RN thats at the hospitol. if medical experience is what you're after, and you're willing to get your civie credentials after you get out, jion as a 68W and get airborne school in your contract. airborne units in general (and when it comes to medicine) get better training than non airborne units.
