What does the Patient Care Tech do differently from a CNA?

We Answered:

Between PCT and LPN, I would go for your LPN. The difference is only 3 months and the pay is so much better as a LPN.

I have edited my C.V. and need your constructive criticism please?

I'd dump the opening introduction, that's what a cover letter is for. If you insist on keeping it, try something like: "Years of experience driving a wide range of vehicles hauling a variety of loads. Eager to work in a position that will put my experience to work and value my contribution." As written, yours is a buzzword bingo winner on any card.

Drop the other roles and hobbies. Not relevant.

Also, limit it to one page. The training and qualifications is worth keeping but, if you're over space, drop the dates and just list them in a paragraph. Like: "Hazardous materials license, Occupational Health and Safety at Work, Adult Numeracy Level 2,..." You can also drop the oldest work experience or widen the margins to make it fit. Be careful about reducing font size, though. It makes it hard to read.

Otherwise, I like it. Good luck and thanks for getting the products I buy to market!
