What Is Education And Training

Adrian Said:

What level of education/training is needed to be an environmental geologist?

We Answered:

A degree in Environmental Geology at you local university is a good start. And while you doing that get as much work experience as you can.

Stacy Said:

What sort of education/training/experience must one have to become a US Ambassador?

We Answered:

Make a large enough political contribution to a presidential candidate, and you may be on a fast track to an ambassadorship.

The "elite" universities used to have a "lock" on having their graduates become career diplomats. They used to be almost an Ivy League club, with graduates from Yale, Harvard, Princeton, Colombia, Cornell, and Brown University dominating. Now, I would reckon that any major university located in the Washinton DC area such as Georgetown, George Washington, American University, Catholic University, and George Mason would be a good choice. However, you can get a good education and have an excellent chance of being recruited from many other fine private and public universities and colleges.

It is a plus if you are fluent in multiple foreign languages. I would encourage you to study Arabic, Chinese Mandarin, Japanese, Spanish, and French. French is the language of choice for people interested in Africa because it is an official language of many of the countries of northern and western Africa.

While in college, I would recommend at minimum a semester to a year of study abroad. Foreign study is where you develop your skills and cultural sensitivity. Consider foreign study in an African country such as Sénégal.

Do whatever you can to become a good writer. Much of what you can accomplish in any career depends on your ability with the written and spoken word.

Oh, yes, one final word. Study hard, and good luck.

What is a Driver's Education & Training Completion Certificate?

We Answered:

You have to take a Driver's Education course. In my state they are not in schools anymore. I doubt they are in California either. Basically the certificate states that you have completed a driver's ed course at some school. The classes normally take a few weeks two complete and cost like $300. If you don't get this certificate you cannot get you're license until you are 18.
(These rules are in Washington state, but I am positive they are very similiar)

Roberta Said:

What kind of education/training is required to become a makeup artist, and how much do they get paid?

We Answered:

It depends on what type of makeup artist(having your own business, at the mall, etc.) I work at MAC cosmetics. I only had to have a year of experience anywhere and then one you get accepted they give you personal classes. As to how much you get paid well that also depends on how dedicated you are. I started getting paid at 14per hour so I didnt start that bad! Good luck!!

Loretta Said:

What kind of education/training is required to be a military helicopter pilot?

We Answered:

The Army has Warrant Officer Pilots. They used to take individuals straight out of High School. I am not sure they do that anymore. If I were you, I would attend a school such as Embry Riddle. Do a four year degree in an aviation related major, then apply to all 5 branches of the Military. Most likely you will get picked up no problem.
