As far as bachelors degrees go, Chemical Engineering gives highest average pay right out of school.

If you are good with your hands, I would recommend looking into Mechanical Engineering. It pays not much lower than ChemE on average, and many people who major in it are not particularly handy. Being handy will give you an edge in design and shop-oriented classes.

These majors do require comfort with math and ability to handle technical topics.
